About Dr. Nelly Nguyen
Hi, I’m Dr. Nelly Nguyen, the creator of The Good Life Dojo. I’m an executive coach, educationist, writer, interdisciplinary thinker, and pioneer in personal and professional development. My work integrates insights from coaching, education, science, sports, philosophy, speculative fiction, and contemplative practices to support individuals and communities in flourishing and preparing for the future.
I hold university degrees in sports science, education, and physics, and I’ve worked as a leader at one of Europe’s top management consultancies. My advanced training includes positive psychology coaching and vertical development coaching. Beyond my formal education, I’ve practiced Zen for over 15 years, learning directly from Thich Nhat Hanh, and pursued a lifelong passion for philosophy and speculative fiction to explore the questions that shape us and the possibilities that inspire us.
As a gifted multipotentialite and Third Culture Kid, I understand the unique challenges of living at the intersection of creativity, vision, and belonging. I’m passionate about supporting visionary, gifted, and creative communities on the edge—those who see the world differently and strive to create positive change.
The Good Life Dojo brings these threads together—a space for reflection, connection, and creation across disciplines. Through coaching, writing, community events, and tailored projects, I help others align with their values, develop creative strategies, and create meaningful impacts on their organizations, teams, families, and communities.
I’ve shared insights on LinkedIn and am currently focusing on writing articles and books for the professional coaching community. The prologue to my creative nonfiction book, Science Fiction Saved My Soul, was published by Own Your Life Writing in a chapbook—stay tuned for more. Whether you’re here to explore, engage, or collaborate, I invite you to step into the dojo and shape your path toward living well.
Let’s connect and explore the art of living life well together, or discover what the good life looks like for you.
